Classes Offered at PPP

All classes take place at 9704 Mallard Creek Road in the Piedmont Unitarian Universalist Church.
The Piedmont Progressive Preschool offers the following classes:

2-day class for two-to-three year olds

This class takes place on Thursdays and Fridays from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm. Parents will assist in this class on a rotating ten-week schedule (once every 10 weeks, assuming there are 10 children enrolled). Parents can expect to spend 2 consecutive days, approximately 2 times during the school year. The Parent Assist Program is an educational component of our program. Parents get to experience our daily routine and see our philosophical approach first hand. The assisting parent provides the snack for those days.

2024/2025 School Year Tuition: $275 per month

3-day class for three-to-four year olds

This class meets from 9:15 am to 1:00 pm, Mondays through Wednesdays. Children bring their lunches and eat at school. There is a carpool drop-off/pick-up line available after the ease-in period is over.

2024/2025 School Year Tuition: $375 per month

4-day class for four-to-five year old

This class meets from 9:15 am to 1:15 pm, Mondays through Thursdays. Children bring their own lunches and eat at school. There is a carpool drop-off/pickup line available after the ease-in period is over.

2024/2025 School Year Tuition: $475 per month

Tuition Deposits
In addition to the registration fee, tuition deposits are required for all children. An amount equal to one month's tuition will be held on deposit to be used as May's tuition. If the child is withdrawn from school before the end of the year, this deposit will be forfeited. This deposit is payable upon enrollment. Parents sending more than one child to either class will receive a 10% discount on one child's tuition.

Meeting Teachers
Before a child begins the school year, there will be a meet your teacher day at school.
This helps greatly with separation once school begins. We also offer home visits to help ease separation anxiety when needed.

Ease-In
School begins gradually at the start of the year. The first day, the class is split into two groups who come at separate times for only an hour. The second day, the class is together for only an hour. Then the class time is extended by thirty minutes per day. This is a proven way to gently allow the children to gradually gain comfort in their new school environment.
