Giving to the preschool
There are numerous ways in which you can help
Piedmont Progressive Preschool! Remember that PPP is a
501(c)3 nonprofit organization, so donations are
tax-deductible (please contact your tax adviser for
information on how to handle deductions in your specific
situation).
Throughout the year, PPP hosts different fun fundraising activities. This year they have ranged from a spaghetti supper to a plant sale. Check out the school calendar and current school newsletter for more information.
Talk to your child's teacher or contact the school about ways in which you can volunteer to help out. The opportunities are varied. Some examples include serving on a committee, making items for the classroom or playground, or assisting with administrative details. Our parents and family members have many unique talents that are a great asset to our school!
When you link your VIC card to the Preschool, and purchase Harris Teeter brand products, the Preschool receives a percentage of the purchase price. You can link your card online, or just give the cashier our code, 4841, and your VIC card when you check out. You must link your VIC card each school year (ending May 31) so don't forget to to re-enroll if you participated last year. This program does not interfere with your VIC savings or cost you any money. Ask your friends and family to link their VIC cards too!
PPP has signed up to participate in the Campbell's Labels for Education Program. By saving labels, UPC codes or lids from a variety of products you likely already use (Prego, Campbells, Pepperidge Farm, V-8, Swanson, Pace and Franco-American brands), you can help us earn points toward a range of school supplies and equipment. It's very easy--go to the eligible products website to find out what part of the label to save. Bring the labels into school and we will tally them up and send them off. To see the types of items we can obtain through this fundraiser, go to the catalog. Be sure to save the labels over the summer and bring them in! Also, consider asking friends and neighbors if they would be willing to save labels for you, if they aren't already doing so for another school.
